For over twenty years, Jim served as chief financial officer for multinational companies in the mid-stream oil & gas sector. As CFO, he led or participated in numerous projects and corporate functions in the following areas: finance, treasury, planning, acquisition/divestiture, risk management, information technology, audit, accounting and tax. Jim is a general practitioner who brings broad-based knowledge to a particular problem, and drill-down and drill-around capability to find the best solutions. He has accumulated vast business experience in Latin American, European, Canadian and U.S. financial and tax matters. Today, his practice focuses on providing quality advice to individuals and their small to medium sized businesses. Jim, the founder of Brenner Global Associates, has been a certified public accountant for over 35 years. He is accredited in business valuations, and is an alumnus of a “Big 4” international accounting firm (PWC) and the University of Florida.
Beth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree in Business Continuity, Security and Risk Management from Boston University. She has 10+ years of experience working in Marine Transportation, specifically in the Oil and Gas sector. Beth is a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor in both Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Payroll. She currently resides in Houston, TX with her husband.
Max Zimmerman

Max has earned an LLM in Taxation from New York University College of Law Graduate Tax Program, a JD from University of Houston Law Center, and a BA in Anthropology from Rice University. Max has taught courses in Corporate Taxation and Tax Policy at the University of Houston Law Center and has lectured at several industry associations on Corporate Taxation, Oil and Gas Taxation, and International Taxation. He has also recently become an Enrolled Agent. He has volunteered preparing U.S. individual income tax returns under the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program of the AARP and Neighborhood Centers. Max is married to an online professor of Montessori Education. His two children are a nurse in Houston and a bicycle mechanic in Cardiff, Wales. He and his wife have lived in New York, Dallas, and London and currently reside in Houston.

Terri holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown. She has 36 years of accounting and management experience with a background in the natural gas pipeline and marketing industry. Her primary focus was in back office operations, storage analysis and settlements. She is a CPA licensed in the State of Texas and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Omar has over fifteen years of experience working as an accountant, advisor and tax return preparer, with eleven of those years working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Caracas, Venezuela. He is an IRS Enrolled Agent and a Chartered Accountant, as well as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Omar is fluent in Spanish and currently resides in Gainesville, Florida with his family.
Teresa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Certificate in Accountancy from the University of Houston. She has more than 20 years of accounting and management experience with a background in accounting, controls, and regulatory reporting for U.S. defined benefit and defined contribution plans. She is a former President of the Southwest Texas Pensions Forum and has participated as a speaker at the AICPA Conference on Employee Benefit Plans. She also holds a record of completion from the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP).

He holds a degree in Accountancy from Miami University (Ohio) and is a licensed CPA. As the spouse of a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, Kyle has worked in the Political-Economic unit of the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad, India, where he currently lives. Kyle and his spouse’s next post will be Guadalajara, Mexico.
